Safety Made Simple, Inc. was founded in January 2006 to meet the need of the small business community for a simple, sensible Safety Program Manual that meets basic OSHA requirements and satisfies the expectations of most Workers' Compensation insurance providers.

There are two basic types of manuals; one designed for the construction and building trades; and another for general industry that works in a fixed site location.

Each of these manuals has a California version designed to meet Cal-OSHA expectations.

Owner Profile

This is a home based business developed by James B. Sathe, ARM (Associate in Risk Management). Jim has been a Safety Professional for over 35 years. Jim has now retired from full time employment and operates this business from his home in Idaho. The business goes on the road with him when he is doing safety consulting work or traveling with his RV.

During his career, Jim has interacted with hundreds of small businesses that did not have a formal, written Safety Program. Inevitably, after making a standard insurance industry recommendation for a business to develop and implement a safety plan, he was asked "How do I do that?"  This business was formed to answer that question.
